William ("Bill") Emory Cubbins was born on 15 September 1907 and married on 30 Dec 1923 to Nettie Elizabeth Hicks [According to her obituary, Nettie was born in about 1909 to Willie and Fannie Mullican Hicks.] in DeKalb County, Tennessee by T. M. Tramel, JP. Bill was a Baptist and a retired truck driver. Bill died on 09 Feb 1994 and Nettie followed on 18 April 2009 [Obituary of Nettie Elizabeth Hicks Cubbins, WJLE Radio Station, Smithville, TN. 18 Apr 2009.]. Bill and Nettie had two children.

   1. Charles Cubbins was born on 07 Jul 1940 and died on 18 Sep 2002.

   2. Carolyn Cubbins was born on 27 Feb 1945 and died on 29 Jun 1960.

   3. J. C. Cubbins was born on 24 Jan 1926. J.C. lived in Fontana, California. He died there on 28 Jan 2004 and graveside services were held on 25 Feb 2004 at Ponder Cemetery near Smithville, Tennessee.

2. James Dalton Cubbins (known as "Dalton") was born on 23 August 1909. He married on 17 July 1931 to Lottie Turner (born on 14 Feb 1915) in DeKalb County, Tennessee by T. M. Yeargin, JP. Lottie Turner Cubbins was a member of the Fullers Chapel United Methodist Church and worked at the Smithville Garment Factory for over 25 years. Dalton and Lottie Cubbins were long time residents of the Dismal Community, near Liberty, Tennessee. He was a bridge builder for the County Hwy. Department, a farmer, a member of Fullers Chapel Methodist Church, superinten­dent over Fullers Chapel Methodist Church for 40 years and served as County Commissioner "J.P." in the early 1950's. Dalton died on 02 September 2004 and Lottie followed on 19 August 2006. Dalton and Lottie had three children, listed below.

   1. Joe Allen Cubbins (12 Jan 1933 - 28 Jan 1970) married Shirley Johnson on 23 Dec 1954 in Rossville, Georgia. They had two daughters:
      1. Melissa Cubbins was born on 12 Oct 1960 and married (1st) Jerry Farler in 1984. They divorced and Melissa married (2nd) Dwight Gee.
      2. Gelanda Marie Cubbins was born on 15 Jan 1964 and died on 07 Feb 1965.

   2. Faye Cubbins Taylor married Joe Taylor and together they had three children: (i) Gene Taylor, (ii) Pam Taylor, and (iii) Jennifer Taylor.

   3. Linda Sue Cubbins Tramel was born on 03 Apr 1948 in Dismal, DeKalb Co., TN and married Randall Glynn Tramel (born 15 Jul 1948) on 14 Dec 1968. Linda and Randy reside in Smithville, Tennessee. Together they had two children:

      1. Gregory Tramel was born on 31 May 1969 in Smithville, DeKalb County, TN. He married Lisa Annette Atnip (born 01 Sep 1968 in Hinsdale, Cooke Co., IL) on 19 Feb 1988 and together they and their family reside in Baxter, Putnam County, Tennessee. They had two sons:
         1. Chase Allen Tramel born on 23 Sep 1988 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN.
         2. Caleb Alexander Tramel born on 18 Jul 1991 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN.

      2. Jeffery Layne Tramel was born 28 Sep 1971 in Smithville, DeKalb County, TN. He married Kelly Kathleen Flanagan (born 01 Jul 1973) on 01 Jan 1998, and the two later edivorced in November of 2007. Jeffery moved to reside in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., Tennessee. Prior to their divorce Kelly and Jeffery had two children:
         1. Grayson Layne Tramel was born on 29 Jul 2000 in Jacksonville, FL.
         2. Macy Kathleen Tramel was born on 20 Jan 2003 in Jacksonville, FL.

3. Eva Cubbins was born in 1911. She married Grady Crook (born in 1909) on 10 Nov 1929 in DeKalb Co., Tennessee by P. M. Clayton, MG. Eva was a former clerk at Fuston's 5 & 10 in Smithville and a member of Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church. Grady died in 1977 and Eva followed many years later on 11 Oct 2005. Together they had three children.

   1. Athelene Crook (27 Aug 1930 - 22 Apr 1931)

4. Elsie Etta Cubbins was born in 1913 in DeKalb County, Tennessee. She worked as a cook with the DeKalb County School System. Elsie resided in Smithville and attended the Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church. She married (1st) Delton Washer, (2nd) James Brady, and (3rd) Richard Driver. Elsie died on 17 April 2004 at Baptist DeKalb Hospital in Tennessee and is buried in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. With her first husband Delton she had three sons:

   1. Billy Wayne Washer

   2. Houston Washer, who married a woman named Nelle, and together they lived in Smithville.

   3. Phillip Washer, who married a woman named Terri, and together they lived in Georgia.

5. Georgia Cubbins was born in 1915 and resided in Smithville, Tennessee most of her life. She married William Connie Hendrixson (1909 - 20 Sep 1984) on 18 Dec 1931 in DeKalb County, Tennessee by Rev. L. W. Beckwith, MG. They ran Hendrixson Grocery in Smithville, Tennessee for many years. This couple had one daughter, Joyce Hendrixson, who was living in Bloomington, Indiana in 1984. Joyce then moved back home to Smithville, Tennessee to care for her mother. Georgia died on Monday, 28 December 2009 with graveside services and interment at DeKalb Memorial Gardens in Smithville held the following day.

6. Dexie Novella Cubbins was born on 02 Jun 1918. She married (1st) Virgil Young (1914 - 13 Dec 1995) on 13 May 1934 in DeKalb Co., Tennessee by Rev. James Davenport, MG. They had one daughter, Jo Doris Young, who was born on 13 Jun 1939. They were divorced in 1964. Dexie married (2nd) Floyd Hooper (03 Sep 1915 - 06 Apr 1979). Dexie passed away on Saturday, 01 May 2004 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville, Tennessee. She was retired from Spartan Mfg. Co. Presser and was of the Baptist Faith.

7. Walter Harding Cubbins was born in 1921. Walter married Ina Wilma Davis on 24 Dec 1941 in DeKalb Co., Tennessee by Rev. P. M. Clayton. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church, a farmer, and a retired school bus driver. Walter died on 27 Sep 1998 and Ina followed on 11 March 2005. They had two children, Rita Cubbins and Sandra Cubbins.

8. Charlie Brown Cubbins ("Brown") was born on 14 May 1924 in DeKalb County, TN. He married (1st) Jewell Lee Gay (07 Feb 1921 - 13 Apr 1999) on 31 Mar 1943 in Sentobia, MS. They had four children, listed below. "Brown" Cubbins married (2nd) to Sandra Kay Perry (born 07 Apr 1941) on 04 Oct 2003 in Jackson, MS.    1. Barbara Jean Cubbins was born on 01 Mar 1947 in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN.

   2. Charles Wayne Cubbins was born on 22 Dec 1950 in Ft. Carson, Colorado.

   3. Brenda Lee Cubbins was born on 21 Jul 1953 in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN. She married Mark Easterwood and had two children, Mark Brenton Easterwood and April Leigh Easterwood. Brenda passed away on 03 Mar 2006 in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN and is buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Memphis, TN.
